Before leaving the on-campus residence halls for winter break, be sure you’ve completed the fall departure process applicable to you by Tuesday, Dec. 13 at 9 a.m. when the halls close. Dobie Twenty21 and 2400 Nueces remain open during winter break, so residents do not have to follow the fall departure process.
What should all on-campus residents know? The on-campus residence halls close on Tuesday, Dec. 13 at 9 a.m. and reopen on Friday, Jan. 6 at 9 a.m. Attend your floor/wing meeting and complete the fall departure resident checklist before you leave campus for winter break. Don’t forget to defrost your room’s microfridge – follow our defrosting and cleaning instructions to avoid a $20 fine.
Returning in the spring? You don’t need to move your things completely out of your room, but you do need to leave your on-campus residence hall when it closes on Tuesday, Dec. 13 at 9 a.m. Once the residence halls close, you cannot return to your room until the hall reopens on Friday, Jan. 6 at 9 a.m. so be sure to take any essential belongings with you.
Moving out permanently? Complete the above tasks for all on-campus residents and the additional ones for residents not returning in the spring found on the Fall Departure Process webpage.
