About Our Department
University Housing and Dining (UHD) is in the Division of Student Affairs and oversees 14 on-campus residence halls, University Apartments, 2400 Nueces apartments, Dobie Twenty21, and many dining and retail venues. By creating transformative living and learning communities, the staff fosters student engagement, growth and success. UHD operates its own residence life, dining, business services, custodial, maintenance and information systems units, is self-supporting (without state or university funds) and employs approximately 1,000 full and part-time staff.
