About Our Department
University Housing and Dining (UHD) oversees 15 on-campus residence halls, 2400 Nueces, East Campus Graduate Apartments, University Apartments, and many dining and retail venues. By creating transformative living and learning communities, the staff fosters student engagement, growth and success. UHD operates its own residence life, dining, facilities, business services, human resource, information systems, and marketing and communications units, is self-supporting (without state or University funds) and employs approximately 1,600 full-time, part-time and student staff.
