Apartment Resident Assistant

Apartment Resident Assistants (ARAs) are full-time UT students who serve in this 12-month, part-time, student staff live-on position in 2400 Nueces Apartments, East Campus Graduate Apartments or University Apartments. They report to a Community Coordinator and assist with emergencies, resident needs and other duties as assigned. ARAs work an average of 15 hours per week and serve in an after-hours on-call duty rotation. This position is formerly known as Community Advisor (CA). We are not currently accepting applications for the ARA position.

Desk Assistant/Office Associate

Desk Assistants (DAs) and Office Associates (OAs) are full-time UT students who work up to 25 hours per week in a part-time role. DAs and OAs work at our residence hall front desks, the Jester Mail Center or the University Apartments office to provide customer service and perform other clerical tasks. We are not currently accepting applications for the Desk Assistant/Office Associate position.

Housing Outreach Ambassador

Housing Outreach Ambassadors are UT students who represent University Housing and Dining (UHD) by facilitating residence hall tours, connecting with prospective students, assisting with housing outreach events and initiatives, and supporting operations within the main UHD office. They will regularly work up to 25 hours per week and must have availability to work evening and weekend hours. This application opens on an as-needed basis. We are not currently accepting applications for the Housing Outreach Ambassador position.

Resident Assistant

Resident Assistants (RAs) are full-time UT students who serve in this part-time role as peer advisors in our on-campus residence halls. RAs are trained to assist residents as needed, develop a community atmosphere, host events and maintain a secure environment by addressing policy violations. They work approximately 20 hours a week in two rotations: an after-hours and weekend on-call duty rotation, along with a desk shift rotation. Mandatory information sessions for this position are typically held in September. The application for the following academic year opens in late September and closes in the beginning of October. We are not currently accepting applications for the RA position.

Student Conference Associate

The Student Conference Associate serves in this part-time role performing administrative support and conference management duties, along with preparing the Townhomes for guests. They regularly work up to 20 hours per week, however, they may be asked to adjust their schedule depending on the workload of Conference Services. This application opens on an as-needed basis. Student Event Associate

The Student Event Associate provides administrative and event space support for the Event Services team. They will regularly work up to 20 hours per week and must have availability to work evening and weekend events. They may be asked to adjust their schedule depending on the workload of Event Services. Student Occupancy Management Associate

The Student Occupancy Management Associate helps manage daily operations in the housing office, including clerical tasks, customer service and lobby upkeep. They regularly work up to 10 hours per week. They may be asked to adjust their schedule depending on business needs. This application opens on an as-needed basis. Student Security Coordinator

The Student Security Coordinator position provides and ensures general safety and security in the University residence halls during nighttime hours. Staff members may travel across campus to offer breaks and support to staff working at residence hall lobbies. This application is open on a rolling basis.
