Dining Student Assistant

Dining Student Assistants support operations in UHD dining locations by providing customer service and assisting with a variety of tasks including greeting and serving guests, operating registers, restocking supplies, washing dishes, maintaining clean dining spaces and assisting with food preparation and service. This position provides varied responsibilities that shift from day to day, creating a dynamic work experience.

Dining Student Manager

Dining Student Managers helps oversee daily dining operations alongside supervisors, ensuring smooth shifts and excellent customer service. This role involves leading dining staff, maintaining food safety standards and supporting sustainability efforts. Strong candidates are organized, proactive and able to motivate a team.

Sustainability Market Student Assistant

Sustainability Market Student Assistants will have a primary focus on the markets, with opportunities available for gardening and zero waste programing. Responsibilities include assisting with planning, set up and take down of market day events, assisting with volunteer coordination, creating marketing materials for market advertisement and educational purposes, and more.

Sustainability Garden Student Assistant

Sustainability Garden Student Assistants will have a primary focus in the gardens, with opportunities available in the markets and zero waste programming. Responsibilities include maintaining garden beds, creating social media and newsletter content, collaborating with the Sustainability team to educate others about sustainable food production, and more.

Zero Waste Sustainability Student Assistant

Zero Waste Sustainability Student Assistants will have a primary focus in zero waste programing, with opportunities available in the markets and gardens. Responsibilities include collecting compost and coffee grounds around the Forty Acres, maintaining and expanding UT Farm Stand’s social media presence, expanding composting and recycling operations, and more.

Catering Student Positions

Catering Student Assistant

The Catering Student Assistant will deliver high-quality food and beverage service for indoor gatherings and large outdoor events. This position will assist in the set up for banquets and large indoor and outdoor events including movement, placement, and return of equipment, decor, plates and glassware, lighting and other equipment, and maintain organization in all catering storage locations. They will ensure a high standard of excellence.
