Undergraduate Housing on Whitis Avenue

New Hall Coming Fall 2027

Whitis Hall

Whitis Hall brings a new residential experience to the north side of campus, marking UT’s first undergraduate housing development in nearly two decades. Opening start of the 2027-28 academic year, this seven-story hall will house approximately 1,000 residents in single and double occupancy rooms with shared community bathrooms featuring private, floor-to-ceiling stalls for toilets and showers. Whitis will feature a variety of spaces for students to relax, study and connect, including a courtyard, social lounge and study lounges on each floor.

All rooms come furnished with a desk, desk chair, dresser and extra-long twin bed for each occupant. There is a shared microwave/refrigerator (MicroFridge), trash can, recycling bin, shelving and clothing rods, and window blinds. There are no sinks in the rooms.

While 2027-28 rates are not yet available, you can view current rates on our website. Rates include room, meal plan, internet service and laundry.
