As part of our continued efforts to best serve current and future Longhorns, we recently launched an updated housing application process that makes it easier to navigate the resources you need to live with us. While the way you access the application will remain the same – either through the direct housing portal link or via the Apply for Housing link on our home page — what you see when you log into the portal will look slightly different.
The changes are meant to make the housing application process simpler, more straightforward and more streamlined. What you’ll notice is a portal homepage with bigger, easier-to-find buttons that guide you through the application process. We revamped our navigation tools so that they are simpler and more straightforward, which current residents can see in their housing portal now. We also consolidated five distinct housing applications into one, which assists you with selecting a housing preference that best fits your needs, preferences and qualifications.
You’ll see a more expansive roommate profile matching section, filled with lifestyle-oriented questions that help reach a percentage match with prospective roommates. The room selection process will also come with details like what’s included in each room and any special notes that may apply. If you’re applying to live in one of our apartment complex communities, you’ll be able to first see which apartments are available, making your application process more informed.
As you open the housing application portal to apply as a prospective or renewing student, you’ll navigate to the housing portal, select the term for which you’re applying and start the application process.
