Learn how our team of housing advisors is here to guide you from point A to Z through living on the Forty Acres.
As we prepare to welcome over 8,000 students into our 15 on-campus residence halls, Dobie Twenty21 and 2400 Nueces this fall, we anticipate that questions about our housing are bound to come up. When they do, we encourage incoming residents to use our housing advisors as a resource by emailing housing@austin.utexas.edu. Our team of housing advisors is here to guide you from point A to Z through living on the Forty Acres.
The housing advisor team helps process 18,000 housing applications on average each year and provides customer service to over 8,000 residents, their families, and prospective students. Our housing advisors are the best and most reliable contact for any housing-related questions. They can help address questions about room selection, room changes, packing lists and Mooov-In, among other housing topics. Our advisors understand that ultimately, housing decisions are the student’s choice to make. However, their goal is to provide valuable information and resources to help you make the best decision for yourself. While our team cannot answer questions regarding other departments, they can direct you to the appropriate resource.
As housing contracts are offered and Mooov-In nears, questions for our housing advisors tend to increase. Nonetheless, the team is here to help by email at housing@austin.utexas.edu or phone at 512- 471-3136. Our housing advisors prioritize answering all messages in the order they’re received. We ask for your patience, especially during the summer when we have a high volume of messages.
Our housing advisors also participate in events for students and families. Incoming freshmen have the opportunity to engage with our housing advisors during their orientation sessions. Prospective students can meet with our housing team during Texas Preview and/or our weekly sessions held in the fall.
Whether you already have your contract signed to live with us in the fall or are considering living with us in the future, our housing team is excited to help you in any way possible. We look forward to welcoming you to your home on the Forty.
