Join us for this year’s “Spring Break Staycation,” a school week’s worth of fun events for students staying on campus over spring break. Events will be held daily from noon – 5 p.m. on the Main Mall starting Monday, March 14 through Friday, March 18. Expect tons of outdoor fun, with lawn games, crafting activities, tasty snacks and musical entertainment. See below for the full lineup of events:
Monday
Flowerpot Painting
Add decorative greenery to your residence hall room by joining us to paint a flowerpot and then plant a small flower in it.
Bat City Gelato
The artisans from Bat City are bringing their Italian-inspired gelato and sorbets to campus. Get your taste buds ready for their Chocolate Hazelnut, Cookies & Cream and Honey & Goat Cheese gelatos, as well as their Strawberry Lemonade sorbet.
Tuesday
Create Your Own String Art
Create a custom piece of UT-themed string art to keep or give away. We’ll provide the instruction and materials.
Live Music
Enjoy a local artist’s covers of soft rock bands while partaking in crafts and lawn games.
Wednesday
Rock Painting
Paint rocks with inspirational words or images to help spread happiness and kindness to the people in your orbit and our campus community.
Cold Cookie Company
Cool off and indulge with fresh cookie ice cream sandwiches from Austin’s Cold Cookie Company.
Thursday
Customize Puzzles
Get creative by painting a blank puzzle or putting together an existing one.
Live Music
Enjoy a local artist’s covers of soft rock bands while partaking in crafts and lawn games.

Make Your Own Terrarium
Spruce up your residence hall room by putting together a terrarium with air plants.
Cornucopia Popcorn
