Employee Relations and Workforce Strategy
Janette Mercer is the Director of Employee Relations and Workforce Strategy in University Housing and Dining’s Human Resources unit. She provides strategic leadership and operational oversight of key Human Resources functions including employee separations, workers compensation, leave management, workplace accommodations and employee relations. She also collaborates and advises leadership on workforce planning.
For over 19 years, Janette has worked in human resources for manufacturing, hospitality and higher education organizations. She received her bachelor’s degree in business administration from Northwestern Oklahoma State University. Janette is a Senior Certified Professional through the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM-SCP).
Prior to UHD, Janette worked in human resources supporting the Beverly Hilton, a property within the Hilton Hotels portfolio.
