Double Room

Accessible Description

This fully furnished one bedroom residence hall room houses two residents in a shared space that contains a small entryway, closet, bedroom and private bathroom. The small entryway opens straight ahead into the bedroom and is flanked on its other sides by the private bathroom and closet. The spacious closet contains shelving and a clothing rod. Opposite the closet is the private bathroom, which features a single-basin sink, mirror, shelving, storage cabinets, three towel rods, a standup shower, shower curtain rod and toilet. The bedroom contains two sets of twin XL beds; one is lofted with a small dresser underneath while the other is bunked with a desk and the other small dresser underneath. Opposite the beds is another desk and desk chair, a mirror, trash can, recycling bin, wall-mounted corkboard for hanging art and other decor, and a small pantry nook with shelving and the room’s MicroFridge and microwave. Across the room, directly opposite the entry door, is a window with blinds attached. This room contains tile flooring and overhead lighting throughout.

Can I loft or bunk my bed?

Yes you can. All furniture in San Jacinto is moveable.

Does my room have a trash can and recycling bin?

All residence hall rooms come with a small trash can and recycle bin. You are responsible for placing your garbage in the trash collection area on your floor.

Does my room come with a MicroFridge?

All residence hall rooms come with one MicroFridge. Only one refrigerator is allowed per room, please do not bring a second one. For accommodations, please contact our housing team at housing@austin.utexas.edu.

What kind of bathroom is there?

There is a shared bath for you and your roommate. Residents are responsible for cleaning their own bathroom and purchasing bathroom items.

Which dining locations are nearby?

San Jacinto Residence Hall is home to Cypress Bend Cafe, which is located at the ground level and is on the side of the building facing San Jacinto Blvd. Please visit our Dining page for more information.

Does the room have air conditioning and heating?

All of our residence halls have AC and heat. San Jacinto Residence Hall residents are able to control the temperature of their own room within a certain range.

ADA Double Room

Accessible Description

This fully furnished ADA one bedroom residence hall room houses two residents in a shared space that contains a small entryway, closet, bedroom and private wheelchair-accessible bathroom. The small entryway opens straight ahead into the bedroom and is flanked on its sides by the private accessible bathroom and closet. The spacious closet contains shelving and a clothing rod. Opposite the closet is the private accessible bathroom containing a single-basin sink, mirror, two towel rods, toilet with grab bars, wheelchair-accessible shower with a detachable shower head, bench, grab bars for the shower and a shower curtain rod. The bedroom contains two twin XL beds with a desk, desk chair and small dresser between them. Opposite the beds is another desk and desk chair, a mirror, trash can, recycling bin, wall-mounted corkboard for hanging art and other decor, and a small pantry nook with shelving and the room’s MicroFridge and microwave.
