Double Room
Accessible Description
This fully furnished one bedroom residence hall room houses two residents in a shared space. Each side of the room features a small closet, a wall-mounted shelf, and a lofted twin XL bed with a desk, desk chair and small dresser underneath. The two small closets are located on each side of the entry door and feature shelving, a clothing rod and a door-mounted towel rod inside. Opposite the entry door is the room’s window with blinds attached, which is located between the two wall-mounted shelves. Above the desk and dresser on the bed sides of the room are corkboards to hang wall art and other decor. This room comes with a trash can, recycling bin, MicroFridge and microwave. It also features tile floors and overhead lighting.
Can I adjust my bed?
Residents of basement-level rooms in Blanton can choose to have their beds either bunked or lofted. Beds on the first through fifth floors are not bunkable, but you can choose to have the height of your bed adjusted.
Can I rearrange my furniture within the room?
In Blanton, the desks, desk chairs, dressers and beds are moveable. The bookshelves in most rooms are attached to the wall.
Does my room have a trash can and recycling bin?
All residence hall rooms come with a small trash can and recycling bin. You are responsible for placing your garbage in the trash collection area on your floor.
Does the room have air conditioning and heating?
All of our residence halls have AC and heat.
Does my room come with a MicroFridge?
All residence hall rooms come with one MicroFridge. Only one refrigerator is allowed per room; please do not bring a second one. For accommodations, please contact our housing team at housing@austin.utexas.edu.

The closest dining facilities are Littlefield Patio Cafe in Littlefield Hall, along with Kin’s Market and Kins Dining in Kinsolving Hall. Blanton is on the east side of the Quad. Blanton residents share a large, beautiful courtyard with residents of Andrews, Carothers and Littlefield. The courtyard is great for socializing, playing Ultimate Frisbee and studying under the trees. The Joynes Reading Room in Carothers Hall includes a browsing library, special event venue and two seminar rooms. This area is staffed and supported by the Plan II Honors Program, but is also accessible to all UT honors residents and residents of the Honors Quad. Special events in this space include faculty talks, literary readings by visiting authors, book discussion groups and watch parties for televised events such as presidential debates. Single Room
Accessible Description
This fully furnished one bedroom residence hall room houses one resident in a single space. It features a lofted twin XL bed with a small dresser underneath, desk, desk chair, wardrobe dresser with a clothing rod inside, and sink area with lower cabinets and a mirror. This room also contains a trash can, recycling bin, MicroFridge and microwave. The sink area is to the immediate left upon entry, followed by the room’s MicroFridge and microwave, desk and desk chair, and the wardrobe dresser. Opposite these furnishings on the right side of the room is a corkboard to hang wall art and other decor, and the lofted bed and small dresser. It has tile floors throughout, a window with blinds attached opposite the entry door and overhead lighting.
Can I adjust the height of my bed?
Yes. The bed can be adjusted to various heights. At the top position, the chest of three drawers will fit underneath the bed.
Can I rearrange my furniture within the room?

The bathroom is adjacent to a small closet with sliding doors on the right side of the room upon entry. Opposite the bathroom and closet is a desk, desk chair, lofted twin XL bed with a small dresser underneath and a corkboard to hang wall art and other decor. Straight across the room from the entry door are the rest of the room’s furnishings, which include a MicroFridge, microwave, trash can, recycling bin, wall-mounted shelf and a window with blinds attached. The bathroom features a toilet, two toilet paper roll holders, a sink, mirror and shower with a shower curtain. Above the toilet is a shelving unit. The bathroom floor is tile, and the bathroom walls are mostly tile with some drywall. The bedroom has tile floors. There is overhead lighting throughout the bedroom, and lighting over the sink in the bathroom.

Community Bathroom
Accessible Description
The community-style bathroom features four sinks, four toilet stalls and five shower stalls, all including lockable doors. Three of the shower stalls and a hand dryer line the right side of the bathroom upon entry. Another shower stall alongside two sinks with a mirror above line the opposite wall. This opening hallway leads straight ahead to a perpendicular hallway that leads to the other two sinks on one side and the four toilet stalls and fifth shower stall on the other. The bathroom also has a small trash can and two frosted glass windows. Each shower stall features a small changing area, shower curtain and towel hooks, with two of the stalls featuring small benches in their changing area. The bathroom floors are tile and the walls are half drywall and half tile. This bathroom features overhead lighting, as well as lighting over the sinks.
Can anyone use this bathroom?
No, this bathroom is only for residents of this wing. Each community bathroom has a security code that is given to the residents at check-in time for the restrooms on their floor. There is an all-gender guest bathroom near the lobby. The community bathrooms are gender-specific. For accommodations, please email housing@austin.utexas.edu.
Do the community bathrooms allow for privacy?
All showers and stalls within the community bathrooms are for single-person use. The showers have curtains and the bathroom stalls within the community bathrooms have doors.
