Summer Special Group Housing
During the summer, many University departments offer unique opportunities that draw students, both from The University of Texas at Austin and other institutions, to our campus. When students participate in extended-length University programming, it can be especially convenient for participants to reside on campus. For this reason, DHFS opens its doors to participants of University-sponsored groups each summer by offering Summer Special Group Housing.
Accommodations and Rates
We offer Summer Special Group Housing in San Jacinto Residence Hall. The rates for Summer 2016 are listed below. All rates include Room and Meals. Basic ResNet is also included for UT students. To obtain Basic ResNet for non-UT student participants, ResNet will require a department activation. The following rates apply to university departments fully funding student housing and do not include tax. Students who are funding their own housing will be charged tax, even when the space is reserved by a department.
Summer 2016: One Session (Summer 1:May 28 - July 9) (Summer 2: July 10 - August 16)

Summer Special Group Dining
Included in Summer Special Group Housing are Dine In Dollars, which can be used to purchase meals at DHFS-run dining facilities. The amount of Dine In Dollars participants are given will vary depending on the session. Learn more about Dine In Dollars.
Reserve Summer Special Group Housing
All UT faculty and staff are eligible to make a Summer Special Group Housing reservation. Completing the reservation is an easy 2-step process:
1. Complete the Summer Special Group Housing Reservation Request by April 1, 2016.
2. Submit your participant roster. 1st Session, 9 Week Session and Both Session rosters are due May 1, 2016. 2nd Session rosters are due June 14, 2016.
Assignments will be available in mid-May for 1st Session, 9 Week Session and Both Session groups. Assignments will be available in early July for 2nd Session groups.
